Adoption Center Hours
Every effort is taken to place unclaimed animals in permanent homes. At the Clovis Pet Adoption Center, new owners can select from a wide collection of available cats and dogs. At present, hours for the Clovis Pet Adoption Center, located at 868 Villa Avenue (next to the Letterman Skate Park), are 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
All pets adopted from the Clovis Pet Adoption Center are spayed or neutered, current on their shots and microchipped before they leave. Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $55 for cats. For a list of available pets please visit our “Pet Finder Website”.
Choosing Your Pet
Before making the decision to get a pet, spend some time determining why you want one and what type of pet would be best for your family. In choosing a pet, consider your lifestyle, free time, and whether the pet needs to live indoors and be part of the family.
Responsible Pet Ownership
- Spay or neuter animals before they have puppies or kittens. It is healthier for your pet, less costly for you and you are helping to control pet over-population.
- Dogs four months of age or older are required to be vaccinated against rabies and licensed with the City of Clovis.
- Dog owners are responsible for ensuring that their animals do not harm or endanger the health or safety of people or other animals.
- Animal premises shall be kept sanitary and shall not constitute a fly breeding reservoir, or a source of offensive odors or animal disease.
