The City of Clovis has started work on a new General Plan document for the Clovis Community. A General Plan is the master policy document that affects all aspects of the community and especially future land use such as where stores, business and house go as the community changes and grows.
The Clovis General Plan encompasses approximately 48,000 acres, which contain the City of Clovis, its 2000 Sphere of Influence, and adjacent lands within unincorporated Fresno County. The General Plan will have important things to say about the existing Clovis Community and is the foundation upon which most of the future municipal decisions the city makes will be based on in the future.
