About 10:15 this morning, a Clovis Police Traffic Officer was sitting at the intersection of Gettysburg and Winery, part of our month-long distracted driving detail, when all of a sudden a man driving a green car blew through the stop sign eastbound on Gettysburg at about 40 miles per hour. The Clovis Police Department will hold a sobriety/driver license checkpoint tonight (4/5). It’s part of the department’s on-going effort to get drunk drivers and unlicensed drivers off the road through a one-year California Office of Traffic Safety “Alcohol and Other Drugs Program” grant.
