Thieves Arrested After Stealing Gifts from Porches in Several Clovis Neighborhoods

Clovis Police responded to a call in the 1100 block of Sierra Avenue on Wednesday for a theft of packages from a front porch. The victim’s surveillance cameras captured what appeared to be two white female adults and a maroon Mercury with significant front end damage.

Today officers saw this same vehicle southbound on Sunnyside from Jefferson and was seen again northbound on Cole from Shaw. That’s when Clovis Police officers stopped the car and arrested 32-year-old Michelle Beintker and 30-year-old Crystal Giglio in the Kmart parking lot this morning for probation violations and conspiracy to commit mail theft. Both women were booked at the Clovis Police Department before being transported to the Fresno County Jail.

In addition, U.S. Postal Inspectors assisted Clovis Police Officers in performing a house check in the 900 block of Rosebrook this afternoon and a probation search in the 3500 block of Hornet Avenue. Beintker and Giglio may also face federal charges for mail theft.
