Police Corporal Promotes Children’s Coat Drive in Clovis

Clovis Police Corporal Jared Binford is reviving the Clovis Police Department’s winter coat drive for children in the City of Clovis this holiday season. Last year, the public and members of the police department donated several hundred new or gently used coats and jackets for those in need. The smiles on the faces of the recipients showed their appreciation.

Community partners include the two Target stores in Clovis, the two Walmart stores in Clovis along with Marshalls, Kohl’s, Kmart, and CVS at Clovis and Shaw. All of the aforementioned stores have marked bins like the one in the Clovis Police Department lobby which officers provided.
Sonitrol is offering a drop off point for coats at its headquarters located at 3621 W. Beechwood Ave. in Fresno. We also thank Terry Fox of Fox Properties on East Shaw Ave. for his generous donation. Financial donations are gladly accepted.

Donors are encouraged to bring new or gently used coats to any of the aforementioned drop off locations. The goal is to provide a coat for every child in need in the Clovis Unified School District this winter season. The coat drive runs through December 15th.
